Today was the hottest day ever, in the history of the Earth. Well, maybe not, but it really seemed like it. I had one shoot today, at 6pm, then I was heading to Toronto, so I had to check out of my hotel by noon, then entertain myself for 6 hours. Great :-/ Well, I had a few stores that I wanted to check out, and of course, I needed to eat, but none of that would take 6 hours to do. I started with getting a coffee & a pastry, and that took up a good 20 minutes, lol. I drove down one of the main drags, and found a neat store, ReImagine. They had a lot of really cool retro items, all at really good prices. I wanted to buy everything, but it would have been difficult to squish a couch into my car ;) I walked away with 2 drinking glasses & a metal thing "pot holder" type thing. I walked in & out of a few more stores on the street, and found an adorable pair of Jeffrey Campbell "flatforms". They were odd looking, and neat, so of course, I had to buy them, lol.
Nikki Sixx was checking in, as I was checking out....
I got back into my sweltering car, and drove to my next shopping destination, Just vintage store. The shop was cute, the owner was sweet & chatty, and I walked away with a vintage turban (I'm dying to wear it!) & a vintage pair of high-waisted yellow panties, original tags still on. Next order of business, was food!
Some cool installation art...
I found a place to eat, called Spot. It looked inexpensive, healthy, and they had wifi, so I could waste time on the internet. Of course, the place was so big, and the ceilings so high, that they didn't have air conditioning :( The only outlet that was open was at a window seat, so I sat in the sun & melted even more, for about an hour. The sun was so hot that it actually wilted my salad before I was able to eat it. I still had a few more hours to kill, so I decided to just drive around in my air conditioned car. This day kinda sucked, lol. By the time my shoot time rolled around, I was sweaty, grubby & just all around kinda nasty. My shoot was cool, but we only shot for about 2 hours, instead of the 3 that we were supposed to because I had about zero energy left. Ah well, I packed up all of my things, and headed to the Great White North.
Follow along to see a day in the life of a traveling fetish model!

You Can't Just Break Up A Lobotomy Like That, Sir!
Today was a little more relaxed than the past couple of days have been. I finally got to sleep in, lol. I had a quick 1 hour shoot at 3pm, and it was in my hotel room, so I just layed around, worked online, and then got myself ready for my shoot. Afterwards, I decided to go downstairs to the restaurant to eat an early dinner, because it was so hot & humid out, and I didn't want to go outside if I didn't have to. Well, let's just say that I certainly paid for my laziness :( They seated me, and I looked at the menu. I figured that it would be a little expensive, but justified it by thinking that they would have quite a few options & it would be tasty. Wrong! Not only were the selections skimpy, but I feel it was way overpriced for what it was. I ordered the crab cakes, and of course, they were out of them. So, I ordered a cup of French onion soup & a cesar salad. The soup was pretty good, but the salad was really weak. The croutons were stale, and the lettuce was kind of wilty. The cheese wasn't anything spectacular, either. I ate about half of it, and called it a day. I then texted the photographer from yesterday and asked him to recommend a tasty sushi restaurant. He recommended Kuni's, and it was deee-licious! I had jellyfish salad, avocado rolls, mackerel & ginger rolls, and yummy hot sake. That meal completely made up for the stinky one at the hotel, lol. Tomorrow, I have one shoot in the evening, and then I drive into Canada.

Wank Wax
Yesterday, I started out on my CNY/Toronto trip. I drove from Pittsburgh to Syracuse, and the drive was nice, but pretty uneventful. My first stop was Adult World in Syracuse. Both William & Betty Jaded work there, and since I was staying with them for a few days, I had to stop by & grab their keys. Adult World was very interesting, as most adult stores usually are, lol. Betty worked in the front, where the DVDs, sex toys & video booths were, and William worked in the back, where the strip club was. I hung out there for a little over an hour, and man do you see some interesting people walk in & out of there. There's the dirty old men who partake in the video booths, the couples who are looking for a little "spice", and then there's the groups of girlfriends who come in to help each other buy vibrators.
It started getting pretty late, so I left and went to William & Betty's place. I took a shower, answered some emails, and then hit the sack. I was sooooo exhausted. Today, I don't have much going on during the day, but both Betty & I have a shoot at 5pm with Eleven-fifty, which should be some awesome giantess stuff. Tomorrow, I have 2 shoots and then I head to Rochester. Gonna be a busy day!

Redrum & Tattooed Mom's
Tuesday, I headed back to Philly for my shoot with Redrum Collaboration. This shoot was kind of a big deal for me, and I really needed to take my time & look my best. I knew that I was going to be wearing one of my latex dresses, but I wasn't sure which one, so I needed my make-up to be able to coordinate with each of them. This shoot was all about big make-up, big hair, and of course, latex :-)
I curled & set my hair and then started on my make up. Marcus was kind enough to bring me coffee (French press!! Love this man!) and after a few sips, really got down to business. Make-up ended up flawless, but that's not what i was worried about. When it comes to hair, I'm no bueno. This morning, I had a plan & a vision, and I hoped that that was enough, lol. I knew I wanted to do '40's bumper bangs, and I wanted to do them sans rat. I also needed to figure out how to tie the rest of my hair in with the bangs. I finally decided on big, asymmetrical victory rolls with the back hanging down in big curls. Well, the pin-up gods must have been smiling on me this morning because amazingly enough, it worked out! Yay! Now for a 4 hour drive. Bah....
Actually, the drive wasn't too bad & I got there earlier than I expected. Justin & Amanda were so super nice, and such a breeze to work with, that we got everything done in about 45 minutes. Oh, and I got to wear my pretty yellow latex dress!!! I should be getting pics back this week. I can't wait to see them!!
After the shoot, I headed to South St. to grab some dinner. I ended up going to Tattooed Mom's because, not only was it Taco Tuesday, but my friend from high school. Ryan. worked there, and I wanted to surprise him with a visit. Well, surprised he was! I sat at the bar, ate tacos, pierogies, and of course, drank beer.
I could have sat there all night & drank, but my hotel was in NJ & I had to get myself there safely, so after 3 beers, and food, I said my good-byes. My drive to the hotel was pretty uneventful, and so was the hotel, lol. It was nice, but I pretty much just checked my email & slept. I was heading home the next day, but before that, I wanted to do a little vintage shopping.
I had 4 stores on my shopping list that I found on Yelp.com. Well, to make a long story short, only one of those store was still in existence, lol. Memo to self, always call the store first before you waste time driving around, lol. Oh well. The one store that I did get to go to, was pretty cool. It was Astro Vintage, and it was right off of South St, on S 5th St. She had some really cute items, and I found another pair of vintage eyeglass frames. I had dropped a pair off, before I left Pittsburgh, to have my prescription put in them, and it was a good thing since I ended up losing my glasses on this trip. Since I was really in the market for a pair of sunglass frames, the store owner suggested another store to me, across town. I thanked her, and was on my way.
Well, this store is a well hidden gem! This woman had so much stuff packed into the back of some other store, that I still don't think that I got to see everything. She did have some nice glasses frames, but nothing jumped out at me. She did have one pair of frames that I have been thinking about since I left. Maybe I will have her send them to me later. She gave me her card, just in case that happened, lol. I didn't end up buying any glasses there, but I did buy two bakelite bracelets to add to my collection. I left the store, got in my car, and drove home.
