We left Dallas this afternoon and headed to Amarillo, but first we did some antique shopping, of course ;) First stop, Dolly Python. This store was ah-mazing, and if you enjoy buying cool, old shit & you find yourself in Dallas, then I highly recommend that you shop here. After about an hour of browsing, I found a pair of shoes from the '40's
I had been looking for a pair of these in my size, and in good condition, FOREVER. They had a few more pairs that I would have liked to have bought, but I needed to watch my spending. I also found 3 matching bakelite bangles to add to my collection
I also found this gem, and after thinking about it all day, I do regret not buying it. Le sigh.
We went to another store, Gratitude, but I didn't find anything that really jumped out at me. Eric, on the other hand, found a sweet pimp suit that he seems to be excited to wear, and a vibrator from the 1930's. I'll try to get some pics posted at some point.
The drive to Amarillo was pretty non-eventful. We stayed on one road, for the most part, and passed through one podunk town to the next. Tomorrow we check out of our hotel & head to Albuquerque. I hope I don't make a wrong turn ;)
