Monday was my first official day in Beantown, and as it started out glorious, it got pretty agitating in the middle, but then went back to the glory that it was in the beginning. I had two shoots that day, and since I broke a nail while I was in Brooklyn, I needed to get my nails done. My first shoot wasn't until later in the afternoon, and the photographer understood that I needed to get my nail fixed, so said that I could be a little late, if I needed to. So far, so good. I looked up a nail place, in his town, on yelp.com & once I found one, was on my way!
I found the nail place with no problem, and whenever I went in, I discovered that there was only one person working. Um....ok.... I was only mildly alarmed because there was only one lady in there getting a pedicure. She told me 10 minutes, but it was more like 20. I should've taken that as a sign. *sigh* I'll make a long story short, here, so that I don't have to bore you or relive that awful pain, but I got there around 2pm, and she finished my nails at 5pm! I WAS SO PISSED OFF! Not only did I miss my first shoot, but I still had to eat something before my second shoot! Thankfully, the photographer from the first shoot understood, and he still wants to work with me the next time I come through. I quickly drove through a Wendy's drive-thru (yuck, then I stopped & parked my car along the water. I sat on some rocks, ate my food, and calmed down.
I finished up, and made my way back to Boston for my second shoot. I was shooting with a photographer, Bill Downey, whom I had never shot with before. He was such a sweetheart! He had ice tea, chocolate & fruit waiting for me :) We had a lot of fun, at our shoot & I'm super excited to see the pics! Afterwards, I went back to my hotel & went to sleep. I only had an hour of shooting the next day, but I wanted to get up & head to Salem & get my cards read first.
