Standing On The Beach, Feeling Like Tippi Hedron

Friday afternoon, I bid farewell to Ludella & her boyfriend, and headed to Newport, RI. I was shooting with Surfer Tom that night, and he informed me that he got me a hotel room, on the beach. Yay!! So, I arrive there, and this is what the beach looked like

 Thanks, Rhode Island, thanks a lot. I didn't really have time to worry about the beach, because I had my shoot with Tom. The shoot went great, I did my 2 scenes for him, and then it was time for dinner! Tom recommended a local place called Flo's, but when I went down there, the parking lot was full, and I couldn't find street parking, so I grumpily went back to my room & ordered take out. My Italian hoagie was delicious, so I felt ok about everything.

The next day, I had a shoot in Watertown, MA, but first, I wanted to walk on the beach. The weather was better, and the sun was out, but it was awfully humid. Oh well, I wasn't going to be there that long anyway. The beach looked way different, this time!

 The sun was out, and even at noon, there were quite a few people on the beach. There were also a good number of sea gulls. They were huge, too! And cranky! It was like a beach full of feathery curmudgeons. I will admit that I did get a little nervous. This picture doesn't do justice to how big they were.

I finished my time on the beach, and got on my way. I made it to Watertown just after 2pm, and was informed that I was to prance around naked in nature. Great, my favorite :-/ We got into his car, and headed to the nature preserve. Let me just say that by saying the mosquitoes were bad would be an understatement! I didn't last 30 seconds before I literally got eaten alive. I'm not even exaggerating! I had welts all over me. My elbow swelled up, my shoulders had monstrous welts on them, my ass, my ankle was swollen, my knees, my thighs...... John was really concerned, so he took me to a CVS so that I could talk to the pharmacist. She suggested some benedryl & a cortizone cream. I got them, and was able to get through the rest of my shoot. Of course, I had to keep scratching & keep scratching & I eventually had nasty bruises all over. *sigh*


I finished the shoot & headed to my hotel. I was shooting with Gothic City Heroines the next day, and then I was going back to Ludella's for the night.
